Top 10 Posts of 2014

*This is not a sponsored post.

Collage doneWow!  What a busy year of growth we have had!  For both my family and Treats by Tanya!  We kicked off the start of the year with articles about our homeschool life, our adventures of being modern day organic christian hippies/preppers and everything has flourished.  My life hit a dark spot while struggling with loneliness and homesickness while my friends and family are over a thousand miles away.  And Treats by Tanya took a hit when upgrading to a new format – all comments/drafts/posts got lost into cyberspace…but, we kept on keeping on – it’s how we roll.  I made new friends in my daily life, and Treats by Tanya had made some great friends too!  Thank you for helping to encourage, and inspire me throughout the year.  You can click on each of our Top 10’s and below you will find a group of some of my new/old blogging friends to visit too!  Thank you for making 2014 special, and we’re looking forward to another year of sharing Treats!

6. The Butterfly Palace

6. Our field trip to Branson, Missouri to see the Butterfly Palace. We had so much fun growing 2 sets of 5 butterflies in our house for a science experiment – did a whole curriculum on the life cycle then celebrated by going to the Butterfly Palace! 😀

5. Kings River Falls

5. Waterfall Jumping in Kings River Falls, Arkansas

4. Tour ‘De Homeschool Rooms

4. Setting up our homeschool spaces.

3.  Raspberry Picking with the family.

3. I think I enjoyed this post so much because we got to do this event together as a family! Not just the boys and I…but my hubby got to come along too! I always found it odd that most of the homeschool groups schedule events during the day when father’s are at work making the dough. My husband is just as important for our children’s well rounded learning as mom. In the upcoming year, we plan to schedule a lot more trips when Dad can join in on the experience <3

2. Mad Science Fun!

2. My boys LOVE science! Especially when science is FUN 😀

1. Environment Friendly Toilet Paper

1. Another fun and thought provoking post…Eco Friendly TP. Yes my friends – as a mom of 3 boys I no longer have a filter for the land of TMI…especially if it comes to saving your rump, money and our planet 😀

I hope you get a chance to revisit the Top 10 Posts for Treats by Tanya in 2014 and visit my friends below too!

I am going to have to check out a few of these post. You have my interest in the reusable toilet paper and I think I read the post about saving Etsy sellers and such who make the reusable menstrual pads. I hope 2015 brings you more success and its an overall good year for you and your family.

    • Tanya says:

Thank you Chrystal – I included a number hyperlink above each post to make going back to the post quicker…the Etsy community needs our help. I’m so glad your interested <3

  2. R U S S says:

It looked like a very busy but fruitful and fun-filled 2014 for you. I wish you an even better 2015 – more fun, more adventures, and more projects to come. Happy New Year!

    • Tanya says:

Oh it was amazing! As a mom, I thought I was going to have a mini stroke watching my kids jump off cliffs…but it was safe and such a great time <3 EXTREMELY peaceful!

    • Tanya says:

Isn’t that the worst!?! It was like all that work and effort…gone in the blink of an eye. I’m so glad you didn’t give up either <3

  3. Samantha Angell says:

Happy New Year! I feel you on all comments getting lost into cyberspace- I recently did that as well. Unfortunate, but keep on plugging! Looks like you still had a ton of great posts for the year. Happy New Year!

    • Tanya says:

Thank you Samantha – I wish there was a warning sign or a better way to prevent that from happening. Here’s to a New Year, and New Beginnings! <3

Do you have links to some of these posts? I clicked on the menstrual pad one but it just goes to the image. I’d love to check it out!
And re-usable TP, not sure I’m ready for that quite yet… although we do cloth everything else but I’m not sure my hubby would be convinced on that one, lol.

    • Tanya says:

Hi Jessica! Thanks for letting me know, I thought I embedded the pictures with the links – but since I put the links above the pictures 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and being environmentally friendly ;D

The number 8 is indeed for the win!!!!…. I really like that idea although I don;t think I could benefit from it because I don’t have monthly period. Congratulations for your awesome and productive year.

What a great year for you! Congratulations on one of your posts going viral, and I can see why you chose the raspberry field trip as a favorite memory. I think it’s awesome to get your husband involved in these fun, family/group moments as much as possible. Cheers to a fun 2015!

It is always fun to look back on the prior year and see what posts were most popular, it can also help you to see what you should write more of this year. Happy new year 2015!

  11. Ann BAcciaglia says:

I’ve never been raspberry picking. I always plan on going but never do.. I need to add it to my list of things to do this upcoming summer. You are right – a fun activity to do as a family.
